Indications: Lorazepam (Ativan)
Lorazepam (Ativan) is used in the management of anxiety disorders and for relief of short-term symptoms of anxiety.
It is also used for preanesthetic medication to sedate and reduce anxiety in the event of a surgery.
Ativan is also known to be used for the management of status epilepticus.
It may also be used for other conditions as determined by the physician.
How to take:
Take Ativan as directed by the physician.
Check the label of the medicine for the exact dose.
The dose and frequency of use will depend on your condition and response.
It can be taken by mouth with or without food. If a dose is missed, take one as soon as possible.

Precautions:
Before the use of Ativan, disease conditions such as heart disease, kidney or liver disease, lung disease, allergies, drug dependence and psychiatric condition should be disclosed to doctor.
This drug may alter mental alertness therefore use caution in driving and performing tasks.
Ativan is also not recommended for pregnant and lactating women as it is excreted into breast milk.
